Tide Wave Pools recently completed a pool remodel in Vacaville, CA, giving this existing swimming pool a fresh, updated appearance with new waterline tile, a mini pebble pool finish, and renewed pool coping with a custom textured overlay.
Instead of replacing everything around the pool, we were able to update the existing features and create a clean, modern finish.
New Pool Tile
The remodel included removing the old waterline tile and installing new pool tile around the perimeter.
New tile can completely change the appearance of an older swimming pool while creating a clean transition between the water, coping, and interior pool finish.
New Mini Pebble Pool Finish
The old interior finish was replaced with a new mini pebble pool plaster finish.
Mini pebble provides a durable, textured pool surface while giving the water a fresh and updated appearance. Combined with the new tile and renewed coping, the new finish helped transform the overall look of the pool.
Renewing the Existing Pool Coping
Rather than completely replacing the existing pool coping, we renewed it using a textured coping overlay.
A custom light pewter gray color was used to give the existing coping a clean, updated concrete appearance that complements the new tile and mini pebble finish.
This approach can be a great option for certain pool remodels where the existing coping is still suitable for resurfacing but needs an updated appearance.
